Judges love to appoint special advocates for children in foster care or are victims of abuse. However, there aren’t enough trained volunteers to go around. CFM was retained by the Oregon Casa Network to address the shortage. Using testimonials from judges who appoint special advocates for children, and CFM secured $5.92 million in ongoing funding for CASA, nearly doubling the nonprofit’s annual state funding to recruit and train volunteers.
