GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS AND PUBLIC POLICY ADVOCATES
OUR EXPERIENCED LOBBYING TEAM DELIVERS RESULTS
Highly skilled, DC-based Federal Affairs Team advocates for a diverse set of clients before Congress and federal agencies. The Federal Affairs Team has helped Washington and Oregon communities, ports and transit agencies bring home millions of dollars from competitive federal grants. The team also represents transportation, health and trade clients nationally and has important connections with key congressional committees, leadership and the administration.
SUPPORTING AND OPPOSING LEGISLATION
We develop comprehensive legislative agendas to give our clients the full breadth of federal representation, including drafting, introducing and passing legislation, and engaging the legislative and executive branches to ensure our client objectives are met.
SECURING FEDERAL FUNDS
Securing grant and community project funding is one of our specialties. We have secured millions for our clients through dozens of federal programs. We will help you identify funding opportunities, draft grant and CDS applications, help submit applications through grants.gov and advocate for your projects with members of Congress and federal agencies. It’s a proven strategy that gives our clients the best chance for success.
COMPREHENSIVE ADVOCACY
Successful advocacy isn’t just about developing relationships in Congress. Throughout the year, we strengthen executive department relationships, monitor agency activity, and participate in the complicated government rule-making processes with your interests in mind.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
Politics is about relationships, and our team has cultivated a vast network of contacts in Congress, federal agencies and the administration.
ADVOCACY AND COMMUNICATION SUPPORT
As a Pacific Northwest firm, we have worked with Oregon and Washington Members and staff for decades. We also have a nationwide reach with a deep network of contacts on key Congressional Committees and with leadership. This includes the Appropriations, Transportation and Infrastructure, Ways and Means, Environment and Public Works, Banking, Finance, Energy and Commerce and Resources Committees, among others.
COALITIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS
We coordinate advocacy efforts with the National League of Cities, Conference of Mayors, National Association of Counties, Pacific Northwest Waterways Association and other coalitions. We also represent one of the leading national transit advocacy associations in the country.
